Installing the Download Manager Software

In order to download Audiobooks and transfer them to a portable device, you must first download the Audiobooks on EBSCOhost Download Manager software. You will be prompted to install the software the first time you download an Audiobook.

Note: If you are not prompted to install the Download Manager software when downloading an Audiobook and do not already have it installed, it can also be installed by clicking the following links:

Supported Devices

Which portable audio devices are compatible with Audiobooks on EBSCOhost?


Audiobooks from EBSCOhost can be transferred to portable devices after they have been downloaded.

Audiobooks can be transferred to the following supported devices:

  • All Apple devices, including iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.

    Note: When transferring Audiobooks to an Apple device, ensure the device is connected to your computer as they are transferred directly to the device during the downloading process.

  • Devices compatible with Windows Media Player.

    When downloading Audiobooks to Windows Media Player (WMP), they are downloaded to your computer and can be played using WMP. If you have a portable device that is compatible with Windows Media Player, Audiobooks can be transferred to that device using WMP.
